Curiosities that won’t kill your cat…

I love finding new and original artists on Etsy and Spellwell is absolutely one of them!

Spellwell's kitty was quite the adventurous hunter and would proudly bring home its latest catch: birds carcasses, mice... From that experience a morbidly amusing idea for cat toys was born:

Spellwell now offers a collection of felt "de'cat'pitated" animal heads catnip toys! My favourite one has to be the rat’s head including plenty of “gooey/oozy/bloody yarn neck bits” dangling from the toy. Her collection also offers pigeon, octopus and fish heads.

For more details visit her little de'cat'pitated friends here.

Kitty Tea Party

I found this really cute recipe for Catnip tea and the miss moustache organic catnip is perfect for this little treat! Its so simple and yet cats go wild for it!

Prepare the Cat Tea as if you were making yourself a nice cup of tea, infusing about 2 tbs of catnip for every cup of boiling water. Let sit for a few minutes.

You can either strain out the catnip leaves or leave them in the tea. Refrigerate the mixture until the Cat Tea is cool.
DO NOT SERVE THE HOT TEA TO YOUR CAT!

*As an extra special treat, I like to add a bit of Whiskas Catmilk™ to the tea. I would recommend staying away from regular milk as it is hard for most cats to digest.

And there you have it: A Tea Party for Kitty!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
Make sure you treat yourself to a nice piece of chocolate and don't forget to pamper your cat as well (no chocolate but I'm sure they would pick catnip anyways!)
